Course Aims
This course is a self-paced introduction to browsing the internet and sending e-mail using MS Internet Explorer and MS Outlook Express. You can work through the step-by-step examples in your own time and at your own speed. Completing the lessons will allow you to browse the world wide web and send e-mail with confidence. As well as browsing and e-mail, topics of study include the background and history of the internet, security, search engines, creating queries and customising the browser.
Assumed Knowledge
A basic understanding of PCs and MS Windows 95/98/NT, including using the mouse, starting and shutting down the PC and using a printer.
Course Audience
Anyone who wants to learn about the internet and e-mail using Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. This book has also been designed to meet the course syllabus of ECDL Module 7: Information and Communication.
